Maurice Abelman is an international mixed media artist, muralist and graphic designer based out of Southeast Texas. He has a BFA in Graphic Design and a Masters in Visual Art and holds the position of Coordinator of Graphic Design at Lamar State College Port Arthur. Being both a fine artist and commercial graphic designer has caused Maurice’s work to evolve with a strong need to create art that engages with the audience and communicates about important socially charged issues. Over the last 3 years he has been focusing on mural art as a new passion and has evolved his skills to meet the needs of the SETX community and beyond.
